Sacred Heart University (SHU) Community Theater in Fairfield will be hosting a summer workshop for high school students eager to learn the basics of filmmaking.
“MovieMaker Workshop: A Summer Film Program” covers three weeks ”“ the first week details script writing and casting actors, the second week highlights how to prepare sets and shoot scenes, and the third week involves editing, adding music and sound effects and the screening of the finished work. The program runs from July 10-28 and again from July 31-Aug. 18, with all classes taking place from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The fee for the program is $1,200 per three-week session. More information is available on the SHU Community Theatre website.
