The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development is awarding funding on a competitive basis under the Sustainable Communities Regional Planning Grant program. Besides HUD, other supporting agencies include the U.S. Department of Transportation and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
In Fairfield County, participating grant applicants include the cities of Stamford, Bridgeport and Norwalk; the South Western Regional Metropolitan Planning Organization; and the Greater Bridgeport/Valley Metropolitan Planning Organization.
