Developer LCOR has released new renderings of its 28-story building Allen, which is under construction at 247 North Ave. LCOR says that leasing of units in the building is expected to get underway this summer.
Allen will offer 307 apartments including 31 priced as affordable housing. The building will have 2,000 square feet of retail space along with 257 parking spaces.

LCOR says that Allen will feature one of the largest geothermal heating and cooling systems in New York state. The geothermal system will use a network of underground geothermal wells.
The design for Allen was inspired by New Rochelle’s rich history and natural surroundings,” said Karen Asprea, whose design studio has been working on the project. “We chose an earthy, classic palette to create spaces that feel elevated but also deeply personal, bringing warmth, texture, and a sense of home to every corner.”

Allen will include 12 two-bedroom penthouse units among its mix of studios, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. Amenities include co-working and lounge spaces, a fitness center with a yoga studio, an outdoor pool and sun deck, a penthouse sky lounge, gaming facilities, bicycle storage, and a pet spa.
The building is two blocks from the Metro-North New Rochelle station. LRC Construction is the general contractor. LCOR has more than 11,000 residential units in its portfolio of properties.
