Local startups, early stage companies and entrepreneurs will have an opportunity to network and potentially win a portion of $3,000 in award money at Norwalk Now, a networking event sponsored by Northeast Community Innovation Corp., CTNext Innovation Places project and Social Venture Partners.
Norwalk Now will include pitches related to the four key pillars of Norwalk’s Innovation Places proposal: Food; Making and Light Manufacturing; Digital Media and Marketing; and Tech and Non-Tech Startups. Nonprofit ideas are also welcome. Individuals looking to pitch can apply via a few questions at the end of the registration form found at http://bit.ly/NorwalkNow.
Northeast Community Innovation Corp. was recently announced as the new initiative by the people behind the Stamford Innovation Center, which is closing at the end of the month.
The event, which will include beer, wine, soda and dinner from Norwalk’s Peaches Southern Pub & Juke Joint, will be held at 6 p.m. on May 30 at Factory Underground at 16 Isaac St. in Norwalk. Tickets are $10.
