The gun show at the Westchester County Center in White Plains took place as scheduled Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 21 and 22. The county legislature had passed legislation banning gun shows on county property, which was vetoed by County Executive Astorino. Republicans proposed compromise legislation which may be passed soon, which formally enacts certain rules and regulations regarding the conduct of such shows. The legislature did not have enough votes to override the veto, thus making the compromise attractive. Video and story by Peter Katz.
