Health insurer HealthyCT is sponsoring an 80-mile cycling tour to five health insurance enrollment sites Saturday to remind people of the Monday deadline to sign up for coverage that begins Jan. 1. HealthyCT is an insurance CO-OP, or Consumer Operated and Oriented Plan.
A team from the Connecticut Cycling Advancement Program, which promotes the health benefits of cycling, will depart at 8:30 a.m. from the Access Health CT Enrollment Center at 200 Main St. in New Britain. From there, the team will visit Compass Health Insurance Enrollment Centers at 174 Grand St. in Waterbury and 3851 Main St. in Bridgeport, and finish in New Haven at the Access Health CT center at 55 Church St. and the Compass Health center at 53 Whalley Ave.
Enrollment personnel will be on site to help consumers obtain information they need to choose a health insurance provider for themselves and their families.
