NEW DOC ON BOARD
SANJAY THOMAS MDÂ has joined the Health Quest Medical Practice team as a general surgeon at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. Thomas graduated cum laude from Albany Medical College with a Doctor of Medicine in 2003. He recently completed his general surgery residency at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown.
Board certified in family practice, Thomas is affiliated with the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American College of Surgeons. He has engaged in volunteer projects all over the world, including relief efforts following the Pakistan earthquake; the Indonesia Tsunami; work with a rural clinic in Mozambique, Africa; a family practice education international instructor in China and Central Asia; and efforts on behalf of Students International in Guatemala.

SUPER SELECTION
JACOBOWITZ & GUBITS, a Walden law firm, has announced that two of its attorneys have been selected among the top lawyers in upstate New York by Super Lawyers.
Senior Counsel MICHAEL L. FOX has been named to the 2013 list. Each year, no more than 5 percent of the lawyers in the state are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor. Fox is litigation-managing attorney. His primary practice areas include federal practice, electronic discovery, employment and discrimination law, education law, business entity disputes, personal injury, as well as general civil litigation.
Associate ALYSE D. TERHUNE has also been selected to appear on the upstate New York Rising Stars 2013 list. Similarly, up to 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state are selected annually to receive this honor. Terhune is an attorney with the firm”™s municipal team, focusing on environmental and land-use law.

SENIOR ACCOUNTANT NAMED
R.J. MARTUCCI CPA, has been promoted to senior accountant by the Middletown-based accounting firm Judelson, Giordano & Siegel (JGS). Martucci joined the firm in 2011 as a staff accountant. Prior to joining JGS, he worked for firms in Washington, D.C., where he provided services to nonprofit organizations and federal entities. In his new role as senior accountant, Martucci will assist management with overseeing a number of JGS”™ financial services, including auditing projects, financial planning and business valuations.

Martucci has served on various boards and committees, such as the board of the Newburgh Historical Society and the Young CPA Committee of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. He serves as co-chairman of the Young Professionals of Orange County Chamber of Commerce. Martucci was selected as a 2013 Rising Star and participant in the 2014 class of Leadership Orange.
NEW EXECs AT ULSTER SAVINGS
CHRISTOPHER ROSENBERGENÂ has been appointed vice president of residential mortgage lending at Ulster Savings Bank”™s Kingston headquarters. “We”™re excited to have Chris lead our mortgage lending team,” said Joan M. Eck, chief credit and service officer at the bank. “He brings a wealth of residential lending and management expertise with him to this position. In the end, the real beneficiaries will be the customers of Ulster Savings Bank.”
With more than 20 years of mortgage-lending service, Rosenbergen will manage all aspects of the bank”™s residential mortgage-lending team. He previously served as a certified mortgage-planning specialist at the Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union.
He is also registered with the National Mortgage Licensing System and has actively participated with local and national mortgage industry associations over the years, including the Dutchess County Association of Realtors and the National Association of Professional Mortgage Women. He resides in Pleasant Valley with his wife and two daughters.
SUSANNAH WILSONÂ has been appointed commercial credit manager at Ulster Savings Bank”™s Kingston headquarters.
Wilson joins the bank with more than 13 years of financial planning, analysis and administration experience. In her new role, she will have oversight over the administration of Ulster Savings Bank”™s Commercial Credit Department.
A Red Hook resident and member of the American Bankers Association, Wilson holds a Master of Business Administration degree in finance and a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from St. John”™s University in New York City.
FLOOD NAMED NSTA PRESIDENT
TIMOTHY E. FLOOD, executive vice president of The Trans Group L.L.C. in Spring Valley, was recently elected president of the National School Transportation Association (NSTA). The Trans Group is headquartered in Spring Valley. NSTA has been the voice of private school bus contractors, manufacturers and suppliers for more than 40 years. The association provides school transportation professionals with the tools and resources they need to make school buses safe, affordable and efficient nationwide.
Flood is a longstanding member of NSTA and has held an active role within the association, serving many committees and heading the association and industry development committee as well as the safety and security committee, each for several years. He has also served on the NSTA board of directors for more than a decade.
A recipient of the Golden Merit, Distinguished Service Award and the School Bus Fleet”™s Contractor of the Year Award, Flood has been with The Trans Group for more than 25 years, beginning his school bus career as a part-time driver. Throughout his career, he has focused on customer service and continuous improvement in all aspects of the operation.
“I am honored to lead such an amazing group of industry professionals and to represent the entire NSTA membership,” said Flood of his new role. Our focus remains on providing safe and efficient transportation to students throughout North America.”
Flood also serves on the New York School Bus Contractor”™s Association”™s Board of Directors and is a past president of that association. He is also a past board member of the Pupil Transportation Safety Institute and has served on the New York State School Bus Driver Instructor Advisory committee. Flood has also represented the state of New York as a delegate at the National Congress on School Transportation.
