North Carolina picks TPI
Stamford-based TPI has been awarded a contract by the state of North Carolina to advise it on transforming its use of information technology to improve delivery of services while reducing costs to taxpayers.
Under the contract, TPI will perform an independent assessment of the IT infrastructure, services and costs for all of the state”™s executive branch agencies.
The partnership is part of Gov. Bev Perdue”™s initiative to make improvements to the delivery of IT in state government, according to a statement.
TPI is an information services, sourcing data and advisory company.
Centerplate plays host
Stamford-based hospitality provider Centerplate will host the NFL Experience at the Dallas Convention Center.
From Jan. 27 through Feb. 6, visitors and fans will have the opportunity to visit the Dallas Convention Center to experience an NFL interactive theme park offering games, displays, entertainment attractions, and snacks and meals custom-designed by Centerplate for the event. The NFL Experience is expected to attract more than 200,000 guests over its nine-day run.
Centerplate will be serving as the hosts to the next two Super Bowls in Indianapolis and New Orleans, where it manages the respective stadiums”™ hospitality offerings.
T-Rex makes buy
Stamford-based T-Rex Capital Group L.L.C., the privately held real estate investment firm, has acquired Reliance Realty Partners, which developed, managed and invested in commercial real estate projects in excess of 4 million square feet in New York and Connecticut. Three principals of Reliance will join T-Rex. The financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
New CEO for Best Friends
Norwalk-based Best Friends Pet Care has appointed John Heyder as president and CEO of the company replacing Dennis Dolan who has resigned to pursue other business opportunities.
Heyder has been with Best Friends since 1996 and for the past 10 years has served as the company’s chief financial officer.
Formed in 1991 and majority owned by Brynwood Partners IV L.P., Best Friends is the largest independent provider of pet care services in the U.S., with 42 locations across 18 states.
