New appeal to working at home

According to Mockler, fuel and commuting costs have become a top priority.

Flexible consistently recommends telecommuting as the number-one workplaceÂ option with the greatest impact on reducing cost, consumption and stress.

“We”™ve seen a huge growth in the telecommuting area,” Mockler said. “We”™re encouraging the clients we work with to look a little harder at telecommuting. We try to encourage our clients to look at output not face time. The stress level goes down and turnover rates go down in companies ”“ we”™ve proven that.”

According to Mockler, the company has also increasingly been charged with transitioning companies to allow out of office work and telecommuting to allow them to remain competitive while not adding to payroll costs.

“When you give an employee time and flexibility, something that they so desperately need, they”™re going to give it back in their productivity, it”™s human nature,” said Mockler.

Flexible has also recommended allowing making one day each week a “work from home” day after finding that fuel allowances and shuttle services are expensive and don”™t cut consumption and car pooling simply does not work for most professionals.
