U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal said Connecticut stands to lose $520 million and thousands of jobs over two years if the U.S. House of Representatives does not pass a transportation bill by the end of this month.
Blumenthal addressed the bill during a Friday visit to Deloitte”™s Wilton offices, which is holding its annual “impact day” with employees devoting the day to nonprofit causes, along with Deloitte offices in Stamford and elsewhere.
Along with the mayor of Los Angeles, Gov. Dannel P. Malloy scheduled a media conference call for noon Friday to press Congress to reach an agreement on the transportation reauthorization bill.
