NEW HAVEN – Carmody Torrance Sandak & Hennessey LLP has combined with the New London law firm Waller Smith & Palmer P.C. effective Sept.1.
With the merger, Carmody’s Connecticut footprint will expand to include the WSP office location. Combining with WSP brings three partners, two counsel and seven staff to the firm, and increases the total number of lawyers at Carmody to 95 lawyers and 75 staff. The firm will continue to operate under the name Carmody Torrance Sandak & Hennessey LLP.
Founded in 1885, WSP has long been dedicated to providing high quality legal services in estate and probate law, municipal law, land use, personal injury and litigation.
“We are incredibly pleased to welcome the lawyers of Waller Smith & Palmer to Carmody, said Carmody Managing Partner Rick Street. “As one of Connecticut’s oldest firms, WSP has a rich history providing legal services to clients throughout New London and southeastern Connecticut.”
WSP Partner Tracy Collins believes the combined firm will allow her firm to continue providing quality legal services to the clients.
“We believe that the quality, breadth and depth of Carmody’s experience coupled with our own capabilities and established reputation in southeastern Connecticut, will allow us to continue providing the same high-quality legal services to our clients that they have come to expect from us,” she said.
Carmody’s New London office is located at 52 Eugene O’Neill Drive.
