
Westfair Communications, which owns The Fairfield County Business Journal, has extended the deadline for nominations for its 20th annual 40 under Forty awards to April 4.
To be eligible, nominees need to be between the ages of 25 and 39, live or work in Fairfield County, contribute to Fairfield County’s business growth, and not have previously won the award. People are urged to nominate co-workers, friends, or family to celebrate and recognize their exceptional achievements, significant contributions, leadership qualities, and impact in their respective fields. People can also nominate themselves.
Honorees will be chosen based on their professional and entrepreneurial accomplishments, business affiliations, and demonstrated leadership skills.
Candidates must work or live in Fairfield County, be younger than 40 as of June 2025. To nominate someone, fill out the application.
“I am honored to serve as a judge for the 40 Under 40 Award by the Fairfield County Business Journal,” said one of the independent judges, Nelson Merchan, a business advisor with the Connecticut Small Business Development Center. This recognition not only celebrates the remarkable young leaders making a difference in our community but also reinforces the importance of hard work, innovation, and leadership across various industries.
