It was a birthday bash in Mount Kisco, New York, last month where the Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester celebrated its 85th birthday. To commemorate the special occasion club kids and families, alumni, members of the community and local officials were in attendance. All were invited for a delicious brunch provided by “Laddle of Love” and Thomas Fox Catering for an afternoon of making memories.
CEO Alyzza Ozer said, “Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester has served the community for 85 years with more than 1.6 million visits. Children learn and grow academically and socially with a concentration on leadership and character building. The club has improved lives for generations while strengthening our community. We are extraordinarily grateful that Deputy County Executive Ken Jenkins, Mount Kisco Mayor Michael Cindrich, and Boys & Girls Club of America Director Tom Bromage attended the celebration recognizing the positive impact of the Club.”
Cindrich presented the club with a proclamation declaring Oct. 26 Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester day in Mount Kisco. He said, “it was great to see all the happy faces in the gym, celebrating the Boys & Girls Club’s 85th Anniversary. It has been so rewarding for me and my wife –– a lifelong resident of Mount Kisco and BGCNW alumnus – to be the beneficiaries of the warm and secure feelings from the staff these many years.”
Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester, established in 1939, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving local youth, ages 6 months to 18 years, from northern Westchester communities. The club runs high-quality, developmentally appropriate programs, including character and leadership development, health and life skills, and sports, fitness and social recreation.
