The American College of Surgeons (ACoS) quality program the Commission on Cancer (CoC) granted a three-year accreditation to Bridgeport Hospital according to a September 6 press release. The hospital was recognized as an Academic Comprehensive Cancer Program.
“This reaccreditation is a testament to our unwavering dedication to providing the best possible care to cancer patients. It is a recognition of our commitment to excellence and our continuous efforts to improve patient outcomes,” said Anne Diamond, DBA, JD, president of Bridgeport Hospital. “It’s also a result of the hard work and dedication of our highly skilled team of healthcare professionals who strive to deliver personalized, compassionate care to each and every patient.”

“What this means to our patients is that they can count on high-quality, cutting-edge treatment, knowing that our program is continuously doing quality improvements and staying on top of the latest treatment modalities,” said Gean Brown, MSN, RN, clinical program manager, Breast Center & Surgical Oncology at Smilow Cancer Hospital at Bridgeport.
