The White Plains YMCA has announced that effective Jan. 1, Heather Bell was promoted to the position of executive director. She took over from Tom Hay who will serve in a new capacity as director of operations overseeing the YMCA facilities in central and northern Westchester.
Bell joined the White Plains YMCA in 2014 and had been serving as associate executive director. While working with Hay, the Y experienced a growth in membership, expanded programs and renewed its connection with the communities served.
