A $750,000 investment from Connecticut Innovations Inc. has persuaded a California app development company to relocate to Westport.

With the seed investment, deets Inc. will be able to continue developing its patent-pending technology for a customizable mobile dashboard that allows users to manage their communication. The company is currently featured on Apple iTune’s “What’s Hot” list.

Connecticut Innovations (CI) is a quasi-public organization with the goal of helping Connecticut businesses launch and grow.

“We’re excited to welcome deets Inc. to Connecticut,” said Claire Leonardi, CI CEO, in a press release. “This company offers a unique application not addressed by current communication networks, and it joins a growing base of mobile technology companies in Connecticut, helping to strengthen our state’s capabilities in this rapidly growing sector.”
