Open Door Family Medical Center of Westchester has received a $50,000 grant from the Delta Dental Community Care Foundation to provide essential oral health care services to uninsured and low-income families in the community.
Open Door Family Medical Center, as a Federally Qualified Health Center, is committed to addressing racial and ethnic disparities in health outcomes. Open Door rigorously tracks performance measures aimed specifically at addressing these disparities.
“Reducing health disparities for various chronic diseases, including diabetes and hypertension, has long been at the heart of our mission,” said Lindsay Farrell, Open Door president and CEO. “We are proud to be consistently ranked as a high performer in reducing disparities. This recognition from Delta Dental reflects our dedication to pursuing health equity and ensuring that all members of our community receive the care they need.”
The grant from Delta Dental Community Care Foundation will enable Open Door to expand its oral health care services so it can continue to provide comprehensive, high-quality care to those who need it most.
“We thank Delta Dental Community Care Foundation for their generous and continued support,” said Naida Henriquez, Open Door’s chief dental officer. “This will allow us to continue our mission of providing accessible, equitable health care and addressing the oral health needs of our community.”
