The restaurant Harvest on Hudson in Hastings-on-Hudson has partnered with Toys for Tots and is collecting new, unwrapped toys that will be distributed to less fortunate children in the community.
“Every child deserves to experience the wonder of the holiday season and wake up on Christmas Day to find a toy waiting under the tree,” said Angelo Liberatore, operating partner at the restaurant. “We applaud Toys for Tots for their hard work and we are honored to be a part of this campaign.”
The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive and patriotic citizens.
A receptacle for the unwrapped gifts is in the entryway of Harvest on Hudson next to its Christmas trees. The restaurant is giving a discount certificate to those who donate a toy.
