Representatives of the Westchester Chapter of the New York State Building Officials Conference (NYSBOC) helped Santa check his list twice when they visited Cerebral Palsy of Westchester on Dec. 15.
The first time they checked, they found more than 70 gifts for the children that had been donated by conference members. The second time they found a check for $30,672 made out to Cerebral Palsy, which just happened to be from NYSBOC and represented proceeds from its golf outing this fall.
NYSBOC has about 150 members who are building officials who meet once a month to review code updates and code enforcements at 42 municipalities in Westchester County. Members who were on hand for the visit included President Sal Pennelle, Vice President Peter Russo, Eddie Hess Jr., Frank Diodati and Mike Cromwell.
