New Canaan resident Jonathan Breen has joined Bankwell as vice president, commercial lender. The announcement was made by Heidi DeWyngaert, the bank”™s chief lending officer.
Breen will be based in Stamford and will serve clients in New York as well as Connecticut. He has more than 15 years of experience in commercial real estate. Breen had been a director of Edgewood Capital Advisors, a real estate investment firm based in Southport. Previously, he was with Summit Development, AIG and Citigroup.
At Bankwell, Breen will be responsible for originating, underwriting and closing commercial real estate loans and developing new lending relationships.
Michael Pida has been named vice president and market manager for Bankwell in Westport, where Bankwell will open one of three new branches in Fairfield County this spring. As market manager, he will be responsible for developing new business and building on the bank”™s existing community connections and partnerships.
Pida has 30 years of lending and financial services experience and was formerly vice president and sales manager of Bankwell”™s residential mortgage division.
