Those weren”™t armored guards inside the big van with the Bankwell logo on its sides as it was driven up to the front of the Connecticut Humane Society”™s building in Westport. They were management personnel from the bank, delivering a full load of supplies that had been collected to help the animals being cared for by the society. As part of Bankwell”™s ongoing Pet Adoption project, for three months pet supplies were collected at the bank”™s nine branches in the state and at PetPantry locations throughout Connecticut.
In addition to the pet supplies, a check in the amount of $2,948 was presented to the organization. The funds were the result of a matching donation program spearheaded by the bank.
