They”™re building a wall at The Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk, but it”™s not going to be anything like the wall that has been making national headlines. Instead of being built to keep people out, this wall is going to help fund the aquarium so people can keep coming in to enjoy the many activities and benefits it offers.
The donor wall will feature depictions of fish of different sizes and shapes, with contributors”™ names etched on each one. Titled “Our Sound Future,” the installation will be revealed near the large shark exhibit this summer as part of the aquarium”™s 30th anniversary celebration.
Alicia Wettenstein, the aquarium”™s director of development, said, “The donor wall is a great, lasting way to declare your support for The Maritime Aquarium and our efforts for marine education and environmental stewardship.”
Fish are available at three levels: large for a $3,000 donation; medium for $300; and small for $50.
