Mastercard is partnering with D-Wave Systems Inc., a Canadian provider of quantum computing systems and services, on research and development of quantum-hybrid applications in financial services sector, including consumer loyalty and rewards, cross-border settlement and fraud management.
According to the companies, the collaboration will use D-Wave”™s annealing quantum computers and quantum hybrid solvers through the Leap quantum cloud service to deliver real-time access to quantum applications safely and securely powered by Mastercard”™s network.
