Charming Charlie, a jewelry and accessories retailer with 261 stores in 38 states, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and will shut down all of its stores.
In New York, the Houston-headquartered chain operates retail outlets at the Jefferson Valley Mall in Yorktown Heights, the Shops at Nanuet and Westchester”™s Ridge Hill in Yonkers. The chain does not have a presence in neighboring Fairfield County.
In a statement, the retailer said it is offering “significant price reductions of 20-50% off original prices with an extra 20% off the lowest ticketed price of clearance merchandise.” The company did not say when the stores will cease operations.
