Cross County Shopping Center in Yonkers is inaugurating its SummerFest Drive-In Movie series, with four popular titles on a big screen every Wednesday during July.
A 45-foot tall outdoor screen will be placed in the north parking lot near Olive Garden and Longhorn Steakhouse with capacity limited to 125 cars. Admission of $20 per car. Audience members can hear the film over an FM radio station and can set up beach chairs outside of their vehicles, but must maintain social distancing. Ticket holders will also receive discount coupons for the shopping center”™s eateries and food trucks will also be on site.
The shows start at dusk, and the schedule includes “The Sandlot” on July 8, “Grease” on July 15, “Men in Black” on July 22 and “Jurassic Park” on July 29. Advance tickets go on sale starting today.
“The SummerFest Drive-In Movie Series is a great way for families to enjoy the fresh air, entertainment and visit their favorite stores and restaurants, too,” said Liz Pollock, senior marketing manager at Cross County Shopping Center. “We are excited to offer this to our customers and welcome them back with open arms.”
