A Bronx realty company has paid $18.1 million for a 19th century commercial building in Dobbs Ferry built for a local brewing company.
The approximately 160,000-square-foot building at 145 Palisade St. was purchased by Kosov Properties Co. L.L.C., an affiliate of Bajraktari Realty Management Corp. in the Bronx. The seller was Commerce and Industry L.L.C. of Goleta, Calif.
Now leased by professional offices, light industries and arts studios and schools, the four-story structure was built by the owner of the Hudson River Brewing Co., according to a Dobbs Ferry Historical Society report. It later operated as a Methodist Church publishing house and as a naval research center for Columbia University.
New owner for White Plains retail strip
A 6,000-square-foot retail strip property at 28-40 Westchester Ave. in White Plains recently sold for $1.3 million.
EIGMP Realty L.L.C. of New Rochelle purchased the property from PTMCD Management Co., an affiliate of Calano & Culhane L.L.P. in White Plains. The seller paid $1.6 million for the property in early 2008.
Eric S. Goldschmidt, senior partner at Goldschmidt & Associates in Scarsdale, who brokered the deal, said the retail strip had an asking sale price of $1,525,000.
Veteran broker joins Colliers International in Stamford
Michael Gordon, a former corporate real estate broker at Cushman & Wakefield Inc., is the most recent addition this year to the expanded Collier”™s International brokerage team in Stamford, Conn. Gordon joined the office this past spring as an executive managing director.
A Colliers International spokesperson said Gordon primarily focuses on landlord and tenant representation in Fairfield and Westchester counties and also manages national client portfolios for a New York-based Colliers team headed by Joseph Cabrera, vice chairman of the company”™s eastern region.
At Cushman & Wakefield, where he worked for more than 20 years, Gordon in 2000 was named Corporate Services Professional of the Year for the New York metropolitan area.
In the last year, Colliers International has tripled the size of its suburban brokerage division in Stamford from four to 12 employees, a Colliers spokesperson said.
