Medical-software developer leases in Harrison
Medicsight plc, a developer of computer-aided detection and image analysis software for the medical imaging market, has leased 2,791 square feet of office space at 500 Mamaroneck Ave. in Harrison.
Headquartered in the United Kingdom, Medicsight develops software that automatically highlights suspicious areas on computerized tomography scans of the colon and lung, helping radiologists to identify, measure and analyze potential disease and early indicators of disease.
Malkin Properties, owner and managing agent of 500 Mamaroneck Ave., a five-story, 285,000-square-foot class-A building, was represented in the deal by Jeffrey H. Newman, executive vice president at Malkin, and Malkin leasing associate Tara L. Long. Broker Matthew Lisk, of Cushman & Wakefield Inc., represented the new tenant.
Admiral taps Barrett for investment sales
Admiral Real Estate Services Corp. in Bronxville is expanding into investment sales with the recent hiring of John M. Barrett, president of the commercial investment division of the Westchester Putnam Association of Realtors.
Barrett leaves Massey Knakal Realty Services, where for six years he led the New York City firm”™s expansion into Westchester County. Since 2005, he has evaluated and marketed more than $200 million of investment real estate in the Westchester submarket.
Barrett exclusively represents commercial property owners in sale or long-term net lease deals, focusing on the Westchester, Manhattan, Bronx and Connecticut markets.
He is a member of the Building and Realty Institute”™s apartment-owners advisory council and serves on the loan committee of Community Capital Resources, a Westchester-based nonprofit community development financial institution.
