Don”™t worry about leaving fingerprints: Houlihan Lawrence is inviting potential homebuyers to touch the plate-glass windows as often as they want at four of its brokerage offices in Westchester County.
A leader in the luxury suburban housing market, Houlihan Lawrence recently installed the next generation of touch screen technology in the storefront of its Scarsdale office and plans to launch additional screens in coming weeks at its Armonk, Larchmont and White Plains offices. The company said it is the first brokerage in its sales territory ”“ Westchester, Putnam and Dutchess counties ”“ to unveil the proprietary interactive technology.
The real estate firm teamed up on the digital storefronts with Boston-based technology firm imageSurge Inc. The display”™s features allow persons from the sidewalk to search through Houlihan Lawrence listings, view property detail pages with photos and maps and even scan the listing agents”™ contact information with barcodes.
“This advanced, interactive technology represents the next steps in a consumer-controlled real estate experience,” said Chris Meyers, COO of Houlihan Lawrence. “The community is now able to engage with our storefronts in a more meaningful way.”
“The retail storefront is the marketing gateway for any retailer whose business involves capturing the street-level consumer,” said Ilya Alshine, founder and CEO of imageSurge, “and yet cardboard and plastic still dominate this medium.”
Founded in 1888, Houlihan Lawrence is the largest area broker serving Westchester, Putnam and Dutchess counties and the 17th largest independent realty agency nationwide. The company has 25 offices and more than 1000 agents.
