Call it a flyer”™s market ”“ airlines are offering sweet deals to land business. Corporate travel is down. Companies have cut back on meetings and conventions. Consumers have been tightening their belts, too, and many families are staying closer to home this summer.
It”™s been no vacation for the hospitality industry, which has been hit hard by the recession.
But the news is not all bad. Yes, there”™s room at the inn, but there”™s also room for some creative thinking, one industry veteran says.
