
Girls Inc. of Westchester County (GIWC) in White Plains has announced the appointment of Marisa Brasor to its Board of Directors.
“I could not be more excited to have Marisa join our GIWC board,” said Fiona Bruder, chair of the Board of Directors for Girls Inc. of Westchester County. “She is a perfect fit for GIWC and brings with her a plethora of expertise in the nonprofit sector.”
Brasor reflects the commitment of Girls Inc. of Westchester County to a thorough and inclusive process in identifying new board members who embody the spirit of its mission.
Brasor is the chief philanthropy officer at Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs. She leads strategic efforts on programmatic and philanthropic collaborations that strengthen and advance priority initiatives for the council. A creative and pragmatic strategist, she works closely with the community of Carnegie Council fellows and program experts to turn an idea into a solution that can be scaled for impact through philanthropic co-investment, community and resource mobilization.
Previously, Brasor led philanthropic partnership programs at prominent organizations like Health Care Without Harm, The Nature Conservancy, The Pew Charitable Trusts, The World Resources Institute, and The Johns Hopkins Children’s Center.
