The “Girl Scout Round Up: Cookie Rally & Entrepreneur Fair” hosted by Girl Scouts of Connecticut (GSOFCT) will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Omni New Haven Hotel and serve as the
nonprofit organization’s official readiness for its Girl Scout Cookie season, offering a variety of helpful workshops on money management, leadership, entrepreneurship, customer care, cyber security and presentation skills.
“The Girl Scout Round Up: Cookie Rally and Entrepreneur Fair is one of our most popular events as it brings together Girl Scouts of all ages and levels, who are taught hands-on techniques to boost their cookie businesses by their own peers,” said Elicia Pegues Spearman, CEO of Girl Scouts of Connecticut.
“Everyone comes out of the event extremely informed, excited and empowered to make their upcoming Cookie Sales Season the most successful ever.”
Spearman notes that Girl Scout attendees will have the opportunity to participate in six Badge Activity Stations to work on their Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy badges, visit over 30 company vendors, stop in at various GSOFCT booths for summer program and activity information, as well as burn off some energy in the Girl Scout Activity Zone.
“Equally important to the business aspect of this event are the life-balancing activities that all participants can enjoy,” said Spearman. “In fact, the entire day reinforces the four primary pillars of the Girl Scouts organization, which are STEAM, Entrepreneurship, Life Skills and Outdoor….”
