Hudson Valley Credit Union (HVCU) celebrated the grand opening of its new branch in New Paltz on Wednesday, Feb. 11. Local business leaders and elected officials welcomed the credit union into the community as it expands its presence in Ulster County. The new branch at 29 Main St. reflects the credit union’s continued commitment to delivering accessible, community-focused financial services.
The event featured remarks from HVCU’s executive and branch management teams who thanked staff and business partners for their work in bringing the new location to life. Several local dignitaries attended the event, including Ulster County Executive Jen Metzger, town of New Paltz Supervisor Tim Rogers, and representatives from the offices of Congressman Pat Ryan, New York State Senator Michelle Hinchey, and Assembly member Sarahana Shrestha. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was conducted by the Ulster County Regional Chamber of Commerce.
The branch delivers a modern banking experience that blends personalized service with convenient technology. Staff are universally trained to support personal and business members with their account and lending needs. Additionally, state-of-the-art Interactive Teller Machines (ITMs) are available for fast, flexible access to accounts and loans. HVCU leaders emphasized that the new branch is part of a broader commitment to meeting members where they are – both geographically and financially.
“With the opening of our New Paltz Branch, we’re focused on more than expanding our footprint – we’re strengthening our partnership with the community,” said HVCU’s Chief Banking Officer Rick Lionhood. “We look forward to building lasting relationships and helping individuals, families and businesses across New Paltz achieve their financial goals.”
