Located in Southport, Connecticut, Carter Morse & Goodrich, a boutique M&A advisory firm that specializes in representing founder-led and family-held businesses valued between $25 million and $250 million, has appointed Peter Costa as a managing director of the firm to lead its consumer industry vertical. In this role, he will leverage his 15+ years of M&A experience to drive transaction execution and business development initiatives. Additionally, he will lead the opening of CMG’s new Providence, Rhode Island, office.

Prior to joining CMG, Costa spent six years at Consensus, a Boston-based M&A advisory firm focused on consumer-facing companies. Earlier in his career, he worked in the transaction advisory services group at Kroll (Duff & Phelps) and at Deloitte. He holds an MBA from the University of Rhode Island, a master’s in accounting from Vanderbilt University – Owen Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in political science and government from Davidson College.
