The Business Council of Westchester (BCW) has hired Jacobella Luongo of Greenwich, Connecticut, as its new senior manager of marketing and communications. In this new role, Luongo will shape and amplify the BCW’s voice across all platforms. She will oversee the weekly digital newsletter, lead integrated marketing and communications strategies, collaborate with senior leadership on executive messaging and ensure excellence and consistency across media relations, social media and creative initiatives.
She will also work closely with the BCW’s marketing partner, Thompson & Bender, to align strategy, strengthen brand visibility and advance coordinated communications efforts that elevate the BCW’s regional presence. Her background in analytics, content creation, video editing and stakeholder communications will further strengthen the BCW’s ability to engage members and expand its impact.
A graduate of Binghamton University with a BFA degree in acting and directing, and a Rye, New York, native, Luongo has grown up living, breathing, and giving back to the culture of Westchester and surrounding areas. She began working in her father’s restaurants at an early age, where she gained firsthand insight into the importance, structure and benefits of small businesses within the community.
As an avid creator, movie maker and enthusiast, Luongo has partnered with major studios to promote, celebrate, and review new films across industry sectors. She brings extensive experience in digital media strategy, content development, client engagement and brand growth. Luongo has successfully managed multiclient portfolios, increased audience engagement through innovative social campaigns and produced high-quality written and visual content in fast-paced environments.
In her spare time, Luongo is an active member of various charitable organizations, combining acting and costuming to bring licensed characters to children in hospitals across the tri-state area and performs with the Anne Frank Center USA to bring meaningful and educational theatre to schools nationwide.
