Saint Joseph’s Medical Center in Yonkers, New York, recently announced that the practice of Howard Liu, M.D., known as the Lockwood Optical Center, located at 157 Lockwood Ave. in Yonkers has joined its ever-growing Saint Joseph’s Medical Practice.
Liu is a well-established, board-certified ophthalmologist whose busy practice also includes a board certified optometrist, Bridget Roman, OD, as well as a full optical center featuring a large selection of brand name, stylish frames and lenses and technicians that are highly trained and ready to assist you with the selection of your eyewear. Lui graduated from the seven-year BA/MD Brooklyn BioMed program at Brooklyn College and SUNY HSC at Brooklyn. He continued at SUNY HSC at Brooklyn for his ophthalmology residency. He then completed a fellowship in refractive surgery and cornea/external disease at New York Presbyterian/Weill-Cornell Medical Center. He later returned to SUNY HSC at Brooklyn, where he was the director of the Cornea clinic at Kings County Medical Center and served as a clinical assistant instructor to ophthalmology residents.
Liu practices general ophthalmology with interests in cornea and external disease and has been named to the New York Super Doctors every year since 2012. Liu will be performing his ambulatory procedures at Saint Joseph’s Medical Center on Wednesdays.
