Greenwich-headquartered Splash Car Wash has expanded its regional presence with the acquisition of two businesses.
The company has bought Gold”™s Car Wash & Detail in White Plains, which will become Splash”™s second location in the city and fourth in New York. The company also took over an express exterior business in Cromwell, Connecticut, that was previously independently owned while operating under the Splash banner. Splash plans to renovate that location by installing additional free vacuum stations and adding a flex-serve option to enable full-service vacuuming.
The company now operates 19 locations in Connecticut and New York plus three in China. The new transactions are the first for Splash since it was acquired last November by Palladin Consumer Retail Partners LLC, a Boston-based private equity firm.
“We are so excited to ”˜break the ice”™ with these great acquisitions, and look forward to adding more sites in the coming months,” said Splash CEO Mark Curtis.
