A prominent Long Island lawyer and Pace Law School alumnus is giving back to his alma mater with a scholarship for students who are union members or who have a parents in a union.
Steven J. Schwartzapfel graduated in Pace”™s second class in 1980 and three years later started a personal injury firm. The Schwartzapfel Lawyers P.C. Scholarship Fund, named after his law firm, is Schwartzapfel”™s way of giving back and supporting future lawyers, he said in a press release.
“I highly value the legal education that I received from Pace,” he said. “It is up to us alumni to continue the culture of giving back, allowing current and future students to receive and benefit from the unique education and experience that Pace Law provides.”
Schwartzapfel has been a director for the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and was the first president of the Alliance for Consumer Rights.
