New scholarship available for union-affiliated Pace Law students

A prominent Long Island lawyer and Pace Law School alumnus is giving back to his alma mater with a scholarship for students who are union members or who have a parents in a union.

Steven J. Schwartzapfel graduated in Pace”™s second class in 1980 and three years later started a personal injury firm. The Schwartzapfel Lawyers P.C. Scholarship Fund, named after his law firm, is Schwartzapfel”™s way of giving back and supporting future lawyers, he said in a press release.

“I highly value the legal education that I received from Pace,” he said. “It is up to us alumni to continue the culture of giving back, allowing current and future students to receive and benefit from the unique education and experience that Pace Law provides.”

Schwartzapfel has been a director for the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and was the first president of the Alliance for Consumer Rights.
