Things are percolating in the Hartsdale shopping center that was once home to one of the now-defunct Christmas Tree Shops.
Décor Home Furniture & Mattresses, 393 N. Central Ave., featuring traditional and modern furnishings, has assumed the anchor position formerly held by the Christmas Tree Shops in the shopping center, where Barnes & Noble, the 10,000-square-foot Ulta Beauty and especially the 3,000-square-foot Paris Baguette (formerly occupied by Pet Valu) are proving to be popular additions.
Just opened – a J.Crew Factory at 373 N. Central Ave., filled with sporty clothes at discounted prices in a crisp, light-wood setting. Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner took time to email the Westfair Business Journal on his way back from Maine, where he saw the eclipse about the development: “ I’m excited that J.Crew has opened up in Greenburgh, another first-class business replacing a large, vacant store (part of the 21,000-square-foot space formerly held by Mrs. Green’s grocery). People love the quality of merchandise offered by this new business. It will help us attract more quality businesses to town.”
