A national nonprofit healthcare organization has given “A” safety grades to five Nuvance Health hospitals, including four in the Hudson Valley and Fairfield County.
The Leapfrog Group gave out the top grades to Northern Dutchess Hospital and Putnam Hospital in the Hudson Valley and Danbury Hospital, Norwalk Hospital and Sharon Hospital in Connecticut. This top-tier rating reflects each hospital’s dedication to preventing medical errors, implementing strong infection controls and fostering a culture that prioritizes patient well-being above all.
Updated biannually, this grade reflects over 30 safety performance measures, from hospital system efficacy to infection prevention and harm reduction strategies.
