The Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Eastern Connecticut and the Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Central Connecticut have merged to create the Home Builders & Remodelers Association of the Connecticut River Region. The newly combined organization will serve more than 500 member companies across six counties: Windham, Tolland, New London, New Haven, Middlesex, and Hartford.
An announcement of the merger says it will “strengthen the voice of Connecticut’s residential construction industry, bringing together builders, remodelers, skilled trades, suppliers, and service professionals under a single, more impactful regional organization.”

According to Matt Gilchrist, chairman of the former Central Connecticut group, “As we unite under a single banner, we’re creating more opportunities for our members to connect, learn, and grow. This merger positions us to be a more powerful voice on the issues that matter most, from workforce development to housing affordability.“
The executive officer of the new association, Eric Person, said, “This is more than a merger, it’s a milestone. By aligning our strengths, we’re creating a dynamic, future-focused association that’s better equipped to support our members and address the challenges facing the home building industry.”
Members of both legacy associations will automatically become members of the Home Builders & Remodelers Association of the Connecticut River Region and gain access to the combined resources, events, and advocacy efforts of the larger organization. The new association says it will soon launch a new brand identity and website.
