A new restaurant called Blackbird is being planned to debut in New Canaan during September.
According to a report in the NewCanaanite.com blog, Blackbird is owned by Z Hospitality Group, which also owns the New Canaan restaurant Solé. Blackbird will be located next door to Solé at 105 Elm St. in the space previously occupied by Potpourri and Fat Face.
Adam Zakka, principal of Z Hospitality Group, said Blackbird will offer cuisine that patrons will be able to share.
“It will be a departure from our sister restaurant next door, which is a restaurant with your typical appetizer-entree-dessert menu format,” Zakka said, adding the menu will be “global” and will not be tied a specific regional cuisine.
