O”™Connor Davies LLP, the 124-year-old accounting and consulting firm with an office in Harrison, on Tuesday announced it has merged with the Newburgh-based accounting firm Stanley Marks & Co. LLP.
Financial terms of the merger were not disclosed.
O”™Connor Davies officials said the merger is an attempt to help the firm expand its regional presence and build out niche practice areas.
Stanley Marks & Co. specializes in accounting for the medical field, working with more than 100 medical practices and more than 250 physicians. The company also has commercial clients, including manufacturers, wholesales, retailers, construction and real estate.
“This deal represents an important strategic opportunity for us to increase our depth in the high-profile commercial and medical practice areas,” O”™Connor Davies managing partner Kevin J. Keane said in the announcement. “The firm brings extensive experience helping clients navigate the complex challenges facing organizations in the changing business and regulatory environments.”

O”™Connor Davies, which dates to 1891, also has offices in New Windsor and New York City and in Connecticut, Maryland and New Jersey. The firm has more than 600 professionals and 90 partners.
