Nyack-based Realtor Drew Kessler recently was installed as president of the Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors for 2015. Leah Caro, a past president of the former Westchester Putnam Association of Realtors, also was installed as president of the Hudson Gateway Multiple Listing Service at HGAR”™s annual gala at Whitby Castle in Rye.

Kessler, a broker at Wright Bros Real Estate Inc., also is vice president and regional manager of the Hudson Valley mortgage division for M&T Bank. HGAR officials said the Hopewell Junction resident regularly appears on Fox Business to comment on the mortgage industry and the real estate market.
Caro, broker/owner of Bronxville Real Estate in Bronxville, credited much of her success to her involvement with the Realtor associations, in which she has held leadership positions at the national, state and local levels. She has been especially involved with fair housing and cultural diversity, ethics, and legislative issues in the industry.
Kessler succeeds Diane Cummins, of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Bedford, as HGAR president, while Caro succeeds Phil Faranda, broker/owner of J. Philip Real Estate in Briarcliff Manor. HGAR officials said Cummins and Faranda will remain on the executive committees of HGAR and Hudson Gateway Multiple Listing Service respectively.
The four-county Realtors association also installed these executive officers:
Marcene Hedayati, of William Raveis Legends Realty in Tarrytown, as HGAR president-elect for 2016; John Lease III, of John Lease Realtors in Newburgh, as regional vice president for Orange County; Jerry Lott, of Century 21 Full Service Realty in New City, as regional vice president for Rockland County; Barry Kramer, of Westchester Choice Realty in Scarsdale, as regional vice president for Westchester and Putnam counties; Jennifer Maher, of J. Philip Real Estate in Briarcliff Manor, as regional vice president for Westchester and Putnam; and Pamela Jones, of Coldwell Banker in White Plains, as secretary/treasurer.
New Hudson Gateway Multiple Listing Service officers include Renee Zurlo, of Better Homes and Gardens Rand Realty in Central Valley, as vice president; Louise Colonna, of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in White Plains, as treasurer; and Eileen Barrett, of Houlihan Lawrence in Brewster, as secretary.
