Hartford HealthCare is hosting a free educational seminar on March 4 titled “Mental Health First Aid” to offers guidance on how to assist someone experiencing a mental health-related crisis.
In the course of the webinar, participants will learn the risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns, strategies for how to help someone in both crisis and non-crisis situations, and where to turn for help. After attending the 7.5-hour webinar ”“ which runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., viewers will be a certified Mental Health First Aider.
The webinar will take place on Zoom and is open to viewers ages 18 and older. After registering, participants will receive an email with information regarding a required pre-work component to the program that will be offered online as a self-paced module and is expected to take about two hours to complete. In order to attend the training, the pre-work must be completed.
