Stamford Health President and CEO Kathleen Silard has been elected to the Connecticut Hospital Association”™s Board of Trustees for the 2019-22 term.
“Kathy Silard is a strong advocate for Stamford Health and for enhancing health care for everyone in Connecticut,” said hospital association CEO Jennifer Jackson.
Silard joined Stamford Health in 2003 as executive vice president and chief operating officer and was named president and CEO last year, overseeing more than 3,500 employees. She began her career as a nurse in the pediatrics and the neonatal intensive care unit at Albert Einstein Hospital in New York.
“We are focused on the care and safety of our patients every day,” Silard said of her election, “and I”™m looking forward to contributing ideas and recommendations that will continue to make health care stronger for our entire state.”
Rohit Bhalla, Stamford Health”™s vice president of quality and chief quality officer, will continue another term as a hospital association board member through 2020 ”“ a position he has held since 2017. He also serves on the committee on patient care quality.
