Downtown Mount Kisco patrons may be prescribed a dose of health and wellness ”“Integrated Medicine & Nutrition/Holistic Med Spa & Laser just opened for business.
The medical spa combines preventative and curative natural wellness, which emphasizes a holistic approach of considering the body as a whole, as opposed to isolated components.
“We believe that virtually all states of ill-health can potentially benefit from smartly designed natural approaches,” said Dr. Michael Wald, medical partner at the practice. “Not all disease is caused by imbalanced nutrition, but imbalanced nutrition can result from disease ”¦ either way, nutrition may play a key role toward health and healing.”
Wald and Dr. Nilay Shah, medical partner, oversee Integrated Medicine & Nutrition. The practice”™s services range from autoimmune and gastrointestinal care to detoxification and hormone shots.
Allyson Lovitch, an aesthetician and skin analysis expert, oversees the Holistic Med Spa & Laser branch of the center.
“By providing all of our services under one roof, we are able to create holistically integrated treatments to help our clients ”¦ inside and out,” Lovitch said. “It is my strong belief that looking better physically often has a profound effect on one”™s sense of well-being, energy and overall health.”
Services such as permanent laser hair reduction, photo-facials, Botox, chemical peels and weight-loss methods like SmartLipo, said to be less invasive than traditional liposuction, are available. The center also provides laboratory tests and combined medical and nutritional evaluations.
