Jim Olver of Goshen was promoted to CEO of Horizon Family Medical Group, a Goshen-based medical group.
“Mr. Olver”™s dedication as well as his outstanding contributions to our organization made him the ideal candidate for this position,” said Dr. John Dermigny, president of the Horizon Medical board of directors.
Most recently, Olver served as group practice administrator, reporting directly to the board of shareholders, which he will continue to do as CEO.
“The title change was in recognition of my expertise and the growth and achievement for Horizon Medical in terms of patient services and planning,” he said.
Olver joined Horizon Medical in 1999 to grow the organization. “All of our staff know we are here for the patient,” he said. “We strive to care for the whole person and the whole family.”
Horizon Medical provides centers of specialization in women”™s health, gastroenterology, cardiology, pain management, surgery, chiropractic, pulmonology and Optifast and Medifast weight loss programs.
Olver oversees strategic planning, new ancillary and specialty services and joint ventures with community hospitals.
According to Olver, patient-centered practices are a focal point of the organization. “If you deliver wonderful patient care with the highest quality and you plan well, your organization will be strong,” he said.
