ENT and Allergy Associates LLP has signed an agreement with a new third-party insurer in the tristate region, North Shore-LIJ CareConnect Insurance Co. Inc., and a contract extension with an established health insurer, Cigna.
A spokesman at the ear, nose, throat and allergy group practice headquartered in Tarrytown said the contracts, which took effect in July and August, ensure Cigna and CareConnect members will receive in-network rates at ENTA”™s 41 offices in New York and New Jersey.
The nearly 175-physician specialty practice has negotiated group contracts with more than 20 insurance companies, an ENTA spokesman said.
“Like us, each of these insurers is invested in the health care continuum and each shares a goal of connecting consumer”™s insurance and wellness needs in order to make health care easier to access and navigate,” ENTA CEO Robert A. Glazer said.
He added CIGNA”™s and CareConnect”™s coverage of employer groups at companies in the metro New York area, including Long Island and the Hudson Valley, “creates enormous synergies with our office locations.”
