On June 23 in Harrison, Mira Women”™s Imaging will open its doors to women who seek a soothing and personalized environment for their mammography.
Under the direction of Dr. Catherine Giess, founder and director, Mira will offer procedures such as digital mammography; breast ultrasound; vacuum-assisted stereotactic and ultrasound-guided needle biopsy. In addition, Mira will offer galactography; ultrasound guided aspiration; needle localizations; and second-opinion consultations.
“Digital mammography offers many benefits over traditional film-screen mammography,” said Giess. “The technology is particularly well-suited to women with dense breast tissue.”
While waiting for their mammographies, women can relax on Mira”™s cushioned chairs and enjoy gourmet coffee while music plays in the background.
“It is our goal to make our patients”™ experience as stress-free and comfortable as possible so that they maintain a regular regimen of breast care,” said Giess.
